Also attached is an extract from the papers from the motion calling for Council to declare a climate emergency and calling on other governments to do the same. This is one of the most important advocacy motions we have had before us and I strongly urge people to write to and or call your Councillors and consider speaking up for this motion (see instruction link above).
At the recent School Strike for Climate we mentioned how striking and marching and using social media are important but we urged people to also write to local, State and Federal decision makers (incumbents, opposition and candidates running for election), as well as the UN.
